On this episode of Wild Preacher’s Kid Podcast, I sit down with Altomesha Peoples, Life & Divorce Coach, for a powerful conversation about what happens when God calls you to uproot everything you know and trust Him with the unknown. Altomesha shares her courageous decision to leave her familiar life, move to a new state, and pursue a new career—all while making the difficult decision to temporarily leave her children behind with the support of her family. Scared, uncertain, and walking into a future she couldn’t fully see, she chose to submit her “yes” to God. What followed was a journey filled with unexpected twists, challenges, lessons, and moments that tested her faith.
But through every turn, Altomesha continued to follow God’s leading—and discovered that sometimes the blessing on the other side requires us to first be willing to go. This is a story about faith over fear, obedience over comfort, family, purpose, and trusting God when you don’t know what’s next. This episode hits close to home for me. I share a moment where I felt like my mother did not care about me. After being hit with so many challenges, I reached out to my mother for comfort. Let me be the one to tell you that it didn't go well.
I want to encourage someone that may have someone in their life that they are not truly safe with emotionally. You may not feel safe, but it doesn't mean that it has to end. This is an ongoing journey of acceptance of others and myself in protecting my peace.

I know some of you were wondering....so here it is. This episode is all about how the Lord started showing me that I should no longer attend my local church. It was a difficult choice, but it was so necessary. Some of you may have experienced church hurt before and turned away from ministry.
I promise you...I understand how challenging moments like this can be hard to overcome. But remember that God is with you! I will share my story, but I hope you hear my heart and try again to get connected back to ministry. I may not know what happened but God knows all.
